What makes a good drinking game?
Looking for a good drinking card game?
You’ve probably got a few things in mind about how the game should go and what kind of features would make it a blast (or at least not a total disaster). Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! We made a handy list of the key stuff we focused on when we created Double It and Give It to the Next Person.
We basically did not want to create another game that already exists without taking away all the fun parts other party games include.
This is what a good drinking game should include according to us:
Simple and Clear Rules:
The simpler, the better! When alcohol’s in the mix, no one’s looking to solve a Rubik’s cube with words. Quick explanations and easy-to-read rule cards are your best friends to keep the good times rolling without anyone getting lost in confusion. With Double it and give it to the next person you don’t have to remember cards or play at a certain point, you don’t even collect points. You only have to be able to double shots in your head. That’s all. Easy, right?
You can bring it anywhere you go:
Ever been asked to bring something along, but didn’t want the hassle of carrying a bag or something heavy all evening? We get it. That’s why we designed a compact, lightweight package that easily fits in your jacket pocket or can be comfortably carried by hand.
Interactive and Social:
You didn’t come here to sit in awkward silence! A great drinking game should spark conversation, laughter, and maybe some regrets as well. Team challenges, group dares, or “get to know you” moments make sure everyone’s having a good time—together. We created the game while knowing each other for a couple of years. And we are still surprised about the answers to the cards sometimes.
Variety of Challenges:
Spice things up with a little bit of everything. Physical challenges? Check. Truth or dare? Yup. Confessions? Sure. Rankings? Alright. Wild storytelling? Absolutely. A mix of tasks keeps the game interesting and makes sure there’s something for everyone to enjoy (and regret later).
Adjustable Drinking Levels:
Not everyone’s here to chug everything in sight. A good game lets you control how much you drink, so whether you’re sipping or throwing it back, you can still join in the fun without going overboard. And of course, the game works just as fine without alcohol being involved. It might just cost you a little more time to step out of your comfort zone. But still, you’ll have a ton of fun for sure!
